FAQ |
What is in Hot-Pad?
Hot-Pad contains a solution of water, food grade sodium acetate (a form of salt) and the patented red trigger stick. |
How is the heat produced?
Bending the patented red trigger stick initiates a non toxic chemical reaction, crystallizing the solution and creating instant heat. |
How long does the heat last?
Hot-Pad will typically stay warm for up to 2 hours down to 25 minutes, and then gradually loses heat. The duration of heat depends on the size of Hot-Pad, how it is used, and how well the product is insulated before usage. |
How do you reactivate Hot-Pad?
After each use, place Hot-Pad in a pan of boiling water. Reduce the heat and simmer five to 20 minutes, depending upon the size of Hot-Pad. Carefully remove from water and cool to room temperature. Hot-Pad is now ready to use again. |
After Boiling Hot-Pad starts to harden on its own?
This can happen and the way to correct the situation is to re-boil Hot-Pad again. Make sure to boil it until all of the crystals are gone and then leave Hot-Pad in the boiling water for another few minutes to insure reactivation. Longer boiling will not affect the product or performance. |
How many times can you use Hot-Pad?
Hot-Pad is 100% reusable and when properly taken care of, Hot-Pad can be used hundreds of times. |
Can you microwave Hot-Pad?
No, you can’t microwave Hot-Pad. |
Are the contents of Hot-Pad safe?
Yes, Hot-Pad is safe, non-toxic and 100% reusable. |
How should Hot-Pad be stored?
